Listening In is part of a larger body of work that explores the post-Soviet transformation of the urban landscape of Yerevan, the capital of the Republic of Armenia. Focussing on details of the infrastructure in the interior of buildings, the photographic triptych documents the solemnity of the old and the dysfunctional, while the title alludes to the ambient sound of the electrical hiss that forms the backdrop of urban daily life.
